As in all things, the first generation is making way for the second, and we of the second generation know what was done in the past to build up the branch. This progress can and must be continued — with the help of all our members. Branch 500 has had dances, picnics and other social activities. Plans were always formally made at the branch meetings. That is why it is important for our members to attend these meetings, for it is at the meetings where things are initated and eventually realized in the form of socials, etc. Here are some of the negatives that destroy an organization such as ours: 1. Failing to attend the meetings. 2. Being late at the meetings and always finding fault. 3. Do not cooperate and do not share responsibilities, then accuse the “old reliables” of being in a clique. 4. Be silent at the meetings but overly critical after the meetings. 5. Be indifferent about seeking prospects for the branch. Are you a branch destroyer? Or do you wish to join in the work of building up your branch? — FRANK BOLDISZAR President roi NEW BRUNSWICK, ÜÜ1 New jerSey The following members were elected officers for 1965 of Branch 581 at a meeting held in the lower hall of the Hungarian Athletic Club: Joseph Kopencey, president; Mrs. Caroline Kiss, vice president; Michael Gödrey, secretary; Mrs. Mary Bodnar,/ recorder; Joseph Kopencey, treasurer; Joseph Torma and Mrs. Margaret Vasvary, auditors.
