Star Attraction of the Fabulous William Penn Dinner and Dance Party - May 29,1965 Biri Szondi will be the featured female vocalist of the topnotch professional entertainment program at the Statler Hilton Hotel, Detroit, Michigan. Miss Szondi, a soprano, has been engaged to thrill our bowlers and other members with her cultured and beautiful voice. She is the former prima donna of the Hungarian Theatre and the Budapest Operatic Theatre. She has sung the lead roles in all the Franz Lehar’s and Emery Kalman’s operettas. Her performance, especially in the Merry Widow and Prince Bob operettas, gained her the title of “Star of the Hungarian Theatre.” FEATURED MALE VOCALIST OF WILLIAM PENN FABULOUS DINNER AND DANCE PARTY Andrew Vincze, today’s finest Hungarian singer with a rich baritone voice will be featured with Miss Biri Szondi in a program of fine professional entertainment which has been put together by the Tournament and Fellowship Days Administrator. He has appeared in operettas and other musicals all over the country, and this will be a repeat performance for the master of Hungarian, English and other nationality songs. He was so well-received at our 1964 Fabulous Dinner and Dance Party in Pittsburgh, Pa. that many members wanted him back for this year’s program.
