Louis Revesz NATIONAL PRESIDENT REVESZ ATTENDS ELABORATE AFFAIR Interviews Danish Protector of Refugees nie William Penn Fraternal Association was represented in the person of its National President, Coloman Revesz, at the Charity Ball sponsored by the Hungarian Catholic League of America and held the evening of January 3, 1958 in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Plaza, New York City. Proceeds of the highly successful affair are to go towards the education of Hungarian Refugee students. Representatives of Hungarian teaching orders, leaders among the Hungarian American organizations, and various nationally and internationally known individual luminaries, as Francis Cardinal Spellman, were present at this unusual gathering of leadership and intelligentsia. Among the honored guests at this memorable event was Povl Bang-Jensen, Danish political affairs officer of the United Na­tions, to whom world attention was recently turned v/hen, ignor­ing the behest of TJ.N. Secretary Dag Hammarskjöld to turn over the confidential list of the Hungarian freedom fighters who had revealed much about the abortive Hungarian revolt in October of 1956, he stubbornly refused to surrender honor or conscience under extreme pressure. For not breaking this solemn and honor­able promise Bang-Jensen was suspended from his U N. position. At this writing the decent Dane has not yet been reinstated, but (Continued on page 3) At a meeting and luncheon held Wednesday, January 15, 1958, five District Managers, who produced the most busi­ness in 1957, were honored and received awards for their me­ritorious service to the William Penn Fraternal Association during the past year. The meet­ing took place in the Board of Directors Room at the Home Office and the luncheon was held at the Roosevelt Hotel. Attending this affair were the five special guests of honor, District Managers Peter A. Walko, Jr. (Homestead, Pa.) Louis Tokár (Columbus, Ohio), Andrew R. Balogh (Bridgeport, Conn.), Adam Simon, Jr. (New Brunswick, N. J.), Louis Ré­vész (Trenton, N. J.), named in the order of their 1957 pro­duction record. Present too were National President Colo­man Revesz, National Secreta­ry Albert J. Stelkovics, Natio­nal Auditor John Sabo, Natio­nal Treasurer Julius E. Somo­gyi, Investment Manager Ri­chard J. Phillips, Field Mana­ger Elmer Charles, Field Su­pervisors, Gus G. Nagy, Gabriel Nameth, Joseph Toma and Frank J. Wukovits, Legal Ad­viser Gay B. Banes, Albert Jo­­czik of the Home Office, on hand to report the affair, Lo­­rant Gyorffy, retiTed Home Office employee, who took pho­tographs, and Bernard RHey and Michael A. Reape, ma­nagement consultants of O’Toole Associates, Inc., con­ducting a study at the Home Office. This gathering, at which the Field Supervisors and our Home Officers were also feted for their active part in assur­ing a successful William Penn 1957, was planned and organ­ized in secrecy by National President Revesz. According to plan the five District Mana­gers were to enter the Home Office just a few minutes be­fore 12 noon, visit no one there, and go immediately to the (Continued on page 5)
