A Line From L A. by ERNEST F. FINTOR District Manager SUMMER has arrived and plans are now being carried out to make our annual summer picnic better than ever. The Annual Summer outing will be held at the CROATIAN—AMERICAN HALL, 330 South Ford Blvd., on July 20, 1958. This will be on a Sunday and it will be an all day affair. There will be the usual fine Hungarian food and refreshments and good music. I hope to see many of you there joining in the happy festivities. For a day full of fun join us on July 20th at the CROATIONAMERICAN HALL. Our sympathies to Mrs. Julia Palagyi and family on the sudden passing of her husband, STEPHEN PALAGYI, on May 11, 1958. Mr. and Mrs. Palagyi lived in Los Angeles for 4 years having come from Ashtabula, Ohio. Rosary was said at the Baldwin Park Funeral Home and Mass was celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church in Baldwin Park, California. We are happy to hear that Mrs. Mary Goodheart is home from the 'hospital after an operation. Welcome home, Mrs. Goodheart, and we wish you speedy recovery. We were sorry to learn that Mrs. James Beli suffered a heart attack and had been in the Daniel Freeman Hospital. She is now at home recovering from her illness. CRADLE CALL Captain and Mrs. Alexander Gaesaly very proudly announce the arrival of their son, MICHAEL ALEXANDER GACSALY. Michael was born on May 29, 1958, weighing 9 lbs. 4 oz. Elizabeth Anne is already a member of Branch 525-V. The monthly meeting of Branch 525-'V is held the second Friday at the West Coast District Office, 8721 So. THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH — LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS? — LOOK ABOUT YOU!----------------------—— LETTERS FROM AMERICA The fight for freedom, our American way of life and world peace must be won in the minds of men. The United States is too often misunderstood abroad and its aims and policies distorted by hostile propaganda. It’s essential, therefore, that the truth about our country and its way of life be made known. Let’s use our letters to spread the truth about America, overcome hostile propaganda, and promote understanding and good-will. 326.63 115.50 142.50
