Many people around the world, including many Americans and Hungarians, are dealing with a lot of very cold and snowy weather this winter. In this freezing cold weather, you have to wear a coat, mittens, scarf, ear muffs, hat and boots just to go get your mail! Speaking of mail, it's time to mail out your valentines! Penguins love this cold weather, and penguins love valentines, too! Below you will find instructions on a penguin valentine you can mail to your family or friends. What You Need- One piece each of orange, black, and white construction paper- A light colored scrap of paper cut to a square- One pair of googly eyes- Glue- Scissors What You Do- Take the black paper and cut a large oval. This will be the penguin's body.- Take the white paper and cut a heart shape that's a little smaller than the oval. This will be the penguin's face and chest.- Take the orange paper and cut three small heart shapes. These will be the penquin's feet and beak. (Make sure the heart for the beak has a nice point at the bottom.)- Using the photograph here as a guide, glue the hearts onto the penguin's body.- Attach the googly eyes.- Turn the penguin over, glue the light colored paper to the back so that you can write a Valentine's Day message.- You're ready to give your valentine to your special friend and brighten their day! Happy Valentine's Day! 10 0 February 2018 0 WILLIAM PENN LIFE
