Branch 525 Los Angeles, CA by Sárika Gotz Our branch members gathered with members of the Bloomington Hungarian Club for a Christmas party in December. It was such fun seeing how excited all the children were to see Santa and his helpers. Santa's bag was filled with so many goodies for the children. Parents and grandparents were busy taking many pictures of their happy little ones. I had to laugh when some of the ladies in attendance sat on Santa's lap and had their pictures taken as they told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. I hope all our WPA members and their families had a safe and blessed holiday. Thank you to our branch officers for helping with the party. Suzan Reinhardt, Ami Graf and Melissa Tremblay--you all did a great job. On New Year's Eve we celebrated at the Hungarian Club. We danced our feet off and welcomed in 2017. I would like to thank the Home Office for the contribution to our Christmas party. Best wishes to all celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Get well wishes to all who are not feeling well. Our deepest sympathy to all who have lost a loved one recently. Please contact me if you have some news or information you would like published in William Penn Life. I can be reached at 909- 350-1620. Have a safe and healthy 2017. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Joan B. Bal lash The month of March brings many noteworthy events. Ash Wednesday ushers in the season of Lent, a time when we are encouraged to examine our lives and to change in a positive manner. The WPA calendar reminds us to turn our clocks ahead one hour on Sunday, March 12. Soon after the time change, we welcome spring, but it is too early to put away the snow shovel. It doesn't matter whether or not you are of Irish descent, as many of us will celebrate St. Patrick's Day by wearing green. For all our bowlers, reservations for the WPA Bowling Tournament must be received at the Home Office by March 31. Join in the fun with family and friends.
