Those omitted were Rose P. Antal, Doug and Carol Truesdell, Mike Oberg, Nancy and Lorraine Baranyai and Ursula Markovits. I apologize to them and to Barbara House for my error. JEL) Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Wow! Where does the time go? Another year has come and gone. Santa's been at the Branch 28 Christmas party held Dec. 4, and that starts all the festivities for Christmas. We sincerely wish all our fellow WPA members a most wonderful and joy-filled holiday season with a prosperous new year for everyone. Once again, Branch 28 wishes to thank the Home Office and Board of Directors for providing such generous support for the annual family Christmas party. More details on the Dec. 4 event will be in the next issue, as well as the election of officer results. With all the holiday activities taking place, let's not forget to wish happy birthday and happy anniversary to all those celebrating their special day this month. At this time of year, it is especially hard to hear about those who have lost a loved one. To them, we say we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Special condolences go out to National Director Roger Nagy and his family on their recent loss. The Hungarian churches in our area joined together to hold their annual Thanksgiving vesper services, held Nov. 23 at St. Stephen of Hungary Church. With the backing of our Home Office, our branch donated Holiday Baskets between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additional funds from our branch allowed us to make additional donations. Congratulations to all our scholarship recipients. It was especially nice to learn Dante Fercana won one of the special essay awards, as well as Jody McGraw, who has Youngstown connections. Her grandmother, Ruth Fabian, was the leader of the local dance group for many years. We acknowledge the promotion of Kristopher Kripchak, Air Force meteorologist, to the rank of major. He is assigned to the 14th Weather Squadron at the Federal Climate Complex in Asheville, N.C.
