William Penn Life, 2010 (45. évfolyam, 1-12. szám)
2010-05-01 / 5. szám
Many changes have taken place since the first issue of the Verhovay Aid Association newspaper, entitled Verhovay-Ak Lapja (Verhovay Journal), was published in 1923. With this May 2010 issue of William Penn Life, we will begin publishing our magazine in full-color. It is just one step we've taken to make our official publication more interesting and valuable to you. To make it even more so, we need your help. We want news, articles and pictures from your branch. We want to know about your charitable activities. Those of you who regularly volunteer at hospitals or homes for the elderly, work with the Salvation Army or other charitable or benevolent groups in your area, or perform other community service projects are of special interest to us. Your activities are included in the annual reports we file with the National Fraternal Congress of America, listing the number of hours spent by our members performing volunteer service. It is a key element to protecting our non-profit status. Do not be shy or think that the volunteer work you perform is not important. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 1-800-848-7366, ext. 136, to report any activity no matter how big or small. - Endre Csornán Branching Out with Endre Csornán Our new look M'MEEjIj Anyone wishing to join the WPA’s tour to Hungary this fall must submit their reservation and deposit by June I, 2010.
