We reviewed a letter from the Home Office about sponsoring a hole at the annual golf tournament for the benefit of the Scholarship Foundation.We decided our branch would send a $100 donation. Our June meeting had to be cancelled due to conflicting appoint­ments, but we were happy to be able to meet in July. Our picnic will be held Wednes­day, Aug. 5, at 6:00 p.m. at the Green Lite Restaurant. We also signed a "Thinking of You" card and sent it to Branch Secretary Margaret Marconi. In Memóriám ELIZABETH "BETTY" HLEBA PITTSBURGH - The Home Office and members of Branch 71 Duquesne, Pa., were saddened by the recent death of retired Home Office employee and fellow branch member Elizabeth "Betty" Hleba. Mrs. Hleba, 88, died July 15, 2009, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was bom Jan. 17, 1921, in Duquesne, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Nagy Kucik. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Duquesne and a past member of St. Mary's bowling league. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Hleba; a sister, Marcy Kucik Keach; and a nephew, Edward Keach. She is survived by her sister-in-law William Penn Life, August 2009 Dorothy Hleba and many nieces and neph­ews. Betty will be remem­bered for her warm heart, great sense of humor and willingness to help others. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cem­etery, West Mifflin, Pa. May she rest in peace.
