William Penn Association Trip to the Motherland August or September 2008 The WPA is exploring the possibility of sponsoring a 14-day trip to Hungary. Members interested in joining such a trip can contact me at 1-800-848-7366, ext. 136. The more people who express a serious interest in going, the more likely we will sponsor a tour. So, call soon. William Penn Association Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest September 13, 2008 The eighth edition of the WPA's most popular fraternal event will be held on the lovely grounds of Penn Scenic View. Preparations for this picnic are already under way. Or, you can learn more by calling me at 1-800-848-7366, ext. 136. As always, the key to the success of these events is your participation. I look forward to meeting you throughout the coming year. Wishing you all a prosperous and happy new year. Sikeres boldog új évet minden kedves tagunknak. |wtl| Sharing the fraternal spirit During the holiday season, more than any other time of the year, we remember those less fortunate than ourselves. With this in mind, the spouses and friends of the WPA Board of Directors made another visit to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. They brought with them a variety of gifts, including gift cards and a check for $200. This outpouring of generosity expressed their love and joy in being able to demonstrate the true spirit of fraternalism to help those in need. The WPA has been a great supporter of this project and extends thanks to the spouses and friends of the Board in remembering the children. Those who participated in the most recent visit to the hospital are pictured here. This experience was very uplifting to all, knowing that this small gesture resulted in many smiling faces during the holiday season. — EC William Penn Life, January 2008 3
