Branch News Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward Branch 14 held its second meeting of the year Wednesday, April 2. It was wonderful to have Endre Csornán, national vice president-fraternal, and his charming wife Arlene at the meeting. Endre reviewed up-coming William Penn events, such as the annual golf tournament in July and the WPA Picnic Sept. 13 at Penn Scenic View. Our branch will sponsor a bus trip to the WPA Picnic. Cost will be $30 per person. Violet Sarosi reported there is still room available on the bus to Penn Scenic View. If you are interested, call her at 440-248- 9012. Plans were finalized for the outing to the Indians game July 11, and the branch will donate $1,000 toward toys for critically ill children at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. The Home Office has also generously offered to contribute $500 toward this project. We hope the toys will bring enjoyment to the children. Hannah Üveges (pictured below), granddaughter of active Branch 14 members Gladys and Lou Üveges, will graduate in May from Cuyahoga Community College at the age of 18. She has applied to numerous colleges to complete her degree in veterinary science. Hannah works part-time at Big Creek Veterinary Clinic, and is an avid horseback rider at Rocky River Reservation. Congratulations, Hannah! After twenty years as a critical care registered nurse, Branch 14 member Pat Moran returned to school, earned a master's degree in nursing and obtained her certification as an adult nurse practitioner. She now works as a nurse practitioner for a neurologist. Congratulations, Pat!
