Li] Siaphä/j J. Viifvn The William Penn Initiative: A Business Strategy for Growth We have come a long way in the last four years, and I feel very good about the progress we are making. Our Association is growing in a more balanced way with greater focus on membership growth. Clearly, we have plenty of work to do, but we are on the right path to stable long-term growth. The William Penn Association will initiate a strategy beginning today that will exemplify the steps our Board, our Officers and our employees will take to set a higher standard and provide the means to obtain the goals of the Association. Our goal is to be a stable, respected and financially sound fraternal life benefit society. Beginning immediately, the William Penn Association will implement a strategy which aims to bring about changes, both large and small, which are needed in how we live up to our shared responsibility with our members, our employees and each other. First, we have a responsibility to our members; they must be at the centerpiece of any decision. The William Penn Association promises to provide superior advice, products and services and always act with the highest level of integrity. Second, we have a responsibility to our employees. We must provide outstanding people the best opportunities to realize their potential. We must—and we will—treat our teammates with respect and dignity, champion our rich culture while accepting our diversity, share in the successes and accept responsibility for our failures. Finally, we have a responsibility to our Association. We must put the William Penn Association's long-term goals ahead of short-term interest to provide exceptional results for our members. We will continue to financially support and promote our Hungarian traditions, culture and language and increase our role in the communities where we live and work. We must honor those who came before, building on their knowledge and experience and must extend our legacy for those who will come after us. 2 William Pen Life, Special Convention Edition, December 2007
