Branch News Members of the Czajkowski family enjoy the Branch 132 picnic held July 30. Branch 296 Springdale, PA by Diane M. Torma Warm get well wishes are sent to our branch auditor and long-time active member Marge Kosheba as she recovers from back surgery. We wish you all the best. Get well thoughts are also with Brenda Hurlbut and Jim Charles. Many prayers are with you and all of our members who are ill. Branch President Ron Balia would like everyone to know that he is feeling better and well on the road to recovery. He attended the final day of the Hungarian Heritage Experience at Penn Scenic View, which was well attended. It is evident that the students truly enjoy this fraternal event. Happy September birthdays to Sandy Dinzeo and Lauren Ratkiewicz. May your days be special, just like you. Our next branch meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hungarian Reformed Church. We look forward to seeing you there. Final preparations will be discussed for Branch 296's annual Bacon Roast which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Springdale. Please join us. For your life insurance and annuity needs, call Noreen Fritz at (412) 821-1837. If you have branch news to share, call me at (724) 339-2445. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank Your branch officers hope all members and your families enjoyed the summer weather with all those vacations to the seashore, picnics, barbecues, baseball games and other activities. Many say the nice weather passed by too quickly. Well, it always does, but soon we will be opening up to the gorgeous autumn season with spectacular sightseeing on the way. Central Pennsylvania is gearing up to put on a foliage show for all to see as we approach the autumn season, which officially begins Sept. 23. Usually, but not always, the peak time for the changing of the leaves is near the second week of October. We who live in the central part of the state don't need to leave town for great views of autumn's beauty, because we have enough of a variety of trees so that there's plenty of color here. Enjoy the freshness and beauty that comes with the fall season. Share your special birthday, wedding anniversary or other news with your branch family. Just give me a call at (814) 695-0213 and I will include your news in an upcoming branch article. To all members who have moved or are planning to move, we ask that you please notify the Home Office of your new address and telephone number. That way, our records will be accurate. Please call Branch Coordinator Bob Jones at (814) 942-2661 to update your information. Also, please keep Bob in mind if you, someone in your family, or one of your friends is in need of life insurance or annuities. Give Bob a call and he will be happy to explain all the plans the William Penn Association has to offer, as well as all the fraternal benefits that come with membership in our Association. Remember in your prayers those men and women serving in our armed forces both at home and oversees. Their sacrifices help to ensure the freedom we enjoy. And, let us all pray for peace in the world.
