Branch News Pennsylvania, to West Virginia, Ohio again, to Taylor, Mich., then Brownstown, and--finally-Lincoln Park. I sure hope for next year's picnic we can get an easier piece of bacon. As usual, however, it was worth it. Thank you all for supporting our branch. We will hold our next branch meeting on Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the American Hungarian Reformed Church. On Sept. 9, we leave for our annual trip to the WPA Picnic-A Great Fratemal-Fest. I can't wait to see you all. Our next trip is our annual Soaring Eagle trip on Nov. 28 and 29. Cost to members is $86, including insurance. Non-members pay $160. Cash back, perks and dinner are included. Cut off for reservations is Nov. 1. Please send your money as soon as possible to ensure your seat. Our family Christmas party will be held Sunday, Nov. 27 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. The party will include carols, entertainment, Santa, lunch and a huge raffle. In order to make sure we order enough food, we would like you to make your reservations by Nov. 21. Let us know how many children will attend so Santa has presents for all. Happy birthday to all our members, especially Pauline Kulcsár, Margaret Danko, Edith Kiss, Jennifer Balog, Lydia Kadi, Eva Veres, Olivia Hall, Bishop Wolfe, my chief Arpad Antal, Andy Chesley, Larry Fratangelo, Frank and Eleanor Kender, Kayla Mayoros, Samantha House, Bob Jackson, Dr. Rob Kantor, Tibi Tuske, Mark Mayoros, Carol Hebert, Sky Molnár, George Schvarckopf, Wanda Gall, Carianne Mayoros and Eileen Gonzales (a very fun pal and best meatloaf maker). Happy anniversary to Emma and Rocky Borsa, Carol and Doug Truesdell and, of course, my partner of 39 (yikes) years, Tommy. I love all of you very much. Get well wishes to Irene Korpák, Rocky Borsa, the Bonora family, Frank Baksa, Margaret Kolniak, Ethel Farkas, Glenn Wolfe, Rose C. Antal and A1 and Olga Wansa. Please let these members know they are being thought of. Please pray for our deceased members and their families, especially Julia Valint, Julius Elias, Helen Johnson, the son of Augie and Marg Acosta, and Helen Kovács, mother of Arlene Csornán. May they all rest in peace. Holy Cross Church is celebrating its 100th anniversary Sept. 18 with a Mass and dinner. The church's annual fall card party will be on Oct. 16. Please call the rectory for information. In order to keep our heritage alive, please support as much as you can. Lovely to meet Robert Swek and his friend Richard Jewell. Many thanks for kind hospitality. Looking forward to being your neighbor when we move into our new home. Ever think about long term care? Tommy and I did, and we purchased the coverage. Chances are someone you know has faced the fnancial and emotional issues involved with caring for an adult family member. If so, then you are already familiar with long term care. Long term case is assistance with daily activities such as eating, bathing or getting dressed, whether the care is in your home, an assisted living facility or nursing home. The costs and decisions have an impact on your entire family. People are living longer than ever before. The possibility of someone in your home needing long term care is greater than ever. If you have questions or want to learn more about this concept, please join us Wednesday, Nov. 9 after our regular branch meeting. There will be no selling. Just a good time to ask questions.
