was Eartha Kitt singing her version of "Santa Baby." (I know some of our younger members are wondering: "Eartha who?") Everyone received a bag of goodies and a complimentary glass. My favorite part of the show was the scene depicting the true meaning of Christmas, with a live Nativity scene and songs "O' Little Town/ Silent Night," "Three Men on Camelback" and "Have You Heard." Everyone seemed to enjoy both the dinner and show. Our next meeting will be held this month in North Port, Fla. Cards will be mailed with date and directions. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank A big thank you to all members who attended the branch's annual Memorial Mass for our deceased brother and sister members held on Thanksgiving morning. Even on this big holiday, you didn't forget our deceased. We appreciated the food you brought as donations for the poor. The Rev. Dennis Kurdziel, who served as celebrant, thanks you all for choosing his parish for the Memorial Mass. It's hard to believe that we are in the year 2005. If last year wasn't so good healthwise to you or your family, then may this be a healthier year for you. All Branch 800 officers were reelected at the December meeting. They are: Vincent Frank, president; Daniel Greiner, vice president; George Dorman, secretary; Robert Jones, treasurer; and Melvin Frank, Robert Aiken and David Greiner, auditors. Congratulations to our branch members who are celebrating birthdays, wedding anniversaries or other important dates. Have you any special news you would like to share with your fellow members? As we begin the new year, our nation's thoughts turn to those men and women in uniform who are so bravely serving our country here and abroad. They, as well as their families, have made sacrifices so we can live in freedom. Let us keep them in our prayers so they may come home safely and soon. Branch 8121 St. Marys, PA by Margaret Marconi We held a regular business meeting Dec. 1 at St. Marys Parochial School Annex. Branch officers for the year 2005 were elected and installed. Our members agreed that our branch would make a monetary donation to the local food bank for the Christmas holiday. We also decided to present a Christmas gift to our priest. We thank the Home Office for its generous donation to our branch and for all the WPA items we have received. Our branch will not hold meetings in January, February and March due to the bad weather we usually experience at this time of the year. Our members attended a Christmas dinner at the Green Lite Cafe. We enjoyed a nice social and desserts. Games were played and the Christmas box was a big hit. See you at our April meeting. We wish all members and their families a safe, healthy and prosperous new year. Branch 8321 Windber, PA by Edward T. Surkowsky Members attended the annual Memorial Mass for deceased members held in conjunction with the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony's Church in November. We also held our election of branch officers for the new year, and all current officers were reelected to another term. We thank those members who helped with the church's porkette sale in November.
