I hope a good time was had by all. We are now working on next June's big trip. All concensus is leading to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. Possibly even going into New York. I will let you know as soon as the seats become available. As usual, we like to keep this around 36 people. Watch your upcoming issues of the William Penn Life for details. Welcome to Nick Kotik and his wife Shirley. Nick is the newest member elected to the WPA Board of Directors. I know we will continue to be an excellent Board that always has our members' best interest in our hearts. Hope to see more of Shirley, too. Congratulations to the chairman of Branch 18's auditing committee Ernie Mayoros. Ernie was honored June 19 as "the father of Riverview football." Ernie mentored many young men in 1954 and most went on to illustrious careers. Ernie retired in 1992 as principal of Riverview. He still monitors the activities of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. He served as their president in 2000 and 2001. He and Joanne are celebrating their 50th anniversary in August. We love you both. Joanne has been a staunch supporter and helpmate through all this time. Congratulations.
