62nd Annual Bowling Tournament The value of community Continued from Page 11 express the value of this scholarship, a monetary measure will not suffice. What it has meant to me, to receive these generous offerings throughout my college experience, is hard to place in words alone. As a scholarship recipient, William Penn and all of you have allowed me to explore who I want to be as a person. Year in and year out, all of you as members have contributed to the growth and learning of many William Penn college students, including me. I have come to realize that the scholarship is more than a check-it is a deal that I have made with all of you to achieve a goal of graduating college. I see this as faith that all of you have in me, and the other scholarship recipients, and just as all of you are proud of us, we are proud to represent William Penn as students. I have recently decided to pursue a double major adding a sociology degree to my original concentration of political science. Being a scholarship recipient has helped make this decision much easier. I plan to work for the government, first with the state of Michigan, and finally with the federal government. I would like to thank all of you for your support and blessings. Thank you, lane Snonsors! We thank all the members, friends, branches and businesses who supported the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc., by signing on as lane sponsors for this year's annual bowling tournament. Because of their generosity, the lane sponsorship program raised an additional $2,775 for the benefit of our young members seeking a higher education. A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. A. G.
