"In the future, when you see the words "Fraternally Yours," you will know that we mean what we say, and we are here for you." Renewing our emphasis on Fraternalism byBiHBero, National Director "Fraternally Yours"—these are the two words found at the end of our WPA mailings that mean so much. They are usually overlooked by our many members and readers and taken for granted. Mostly, it is because these words are always there. At William Penn Association, we are going to change this and let you know that our fraternal activities are for everyone, members and friends. We are going to meet the needs and suggestions of our members in the future by modifying our fraternal activities. We are going to be here for you, and we will welcome your suggestions...and we will be "Fraternally Yours". We have chosen a beautiful hotel for the Annual Golf Tournament this July, which we are sure most of you will enjoy. This hotel houses a gambling casino and a large entertainment complex for your pleasure. These activity areas will be a compliment to the golf tournament as well as possibly increase the participation and enjoyment. We are also in the planning stages of the inaugural "Hungarian Heritage Experience" which will take place at Penn Scenic View in August. Some of the features will include Hungarian language lessons, Hungarian cooking and some ethnic arts and crafts. This function should also be a pleasure for campers and staff alike. On Sept. 10, the fifth annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest will also take place at Penn Scenic View. We will offer new attractions for the children, Hungarian music for your enjoyment as well as the best Hungarian food this side of Budapest. So bring your appetite and your friends, too. Although these fraternal activities are important, we must give the credit and gratitude to our hard working branch members throughout the United States. They are the wheels that make us spin. Did you know that your branch president or branch coordinator can apply to the Home Office for matching funds and other assistance toward your fraternal activities at the Branch level? These functions may include card parties, membership drives or other ideas you may have. Please take advantage of this opportunity. I want you to know that you do not have to bowl or golf to be a part of the William Penn fellowship. We are here for everyone, members and guests alike. I would like you all to know that the staff, National Officers and Board of Directors are working 24/7 to keep fraternalism alive and strong at the WPA. In the future, when you see the words "Fraternally Yours," you will know that we mean what we say, and we are here for you. We are not only a life insurance company—we are your fraternal family, and we want you to know this. Please don't forget that spring is here and you may have college-bound teens that might be eligible for a scholarship grant through the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. We want your children to continue to advance themselves, and please continue to send us those beautiful baby pictures for our newsletter. In closing, please send any of your thoughts or new ideas to: Bill Bero P.O. Box 320113 Fairfield, CT 06825 We are waiting for your responses. Fraternally and Sincerely Yours, William Penn Life, May2005 3
