í Rolling Into Cleveland The city by the lake prepares to welcome WPA bowlers for 61st annua Spring will soon be here (we hope), and with it will come the beginning of another season of WPA activities. We'll kick off our schedule of great fraternal events with the 61st edition of the Annual Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days. All members and friends of the WPA are invited to join us for this family-oriented event May 28 to 30 in Independence, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland. The tournament weekend will begin Friday, May 28, with the annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. The meeting will take place at the Hilton Cleveland South hotel. After the meeting, all bowlers and guests are welcome to a reception in the hotel, featuring plenty of food, refreshments and good old-fashioned fraternal fellowship. The adult bowling tournament will begin Saturday, May 29, with the team event and continues on Sunday, May 30, with the doubles and singles events. All bowling events will take place at Cloverleaf Lanes, the site of our 57th annual tournament in 2000. Also on Saturday, the WPA will host its Eighth Annual Juvenile Fun Event, a bowling event designed specifically for the enjoyment of children age 15 and under. The emphasis will be on fun, and everyone will leave a winner. Free shuttle bus transportation between the hotel and bowling lanes will be available. Once again, the WPA is adding to the excitement of the adult tournament by offering a special $10,000 prize to the first eligible member who bowls a perfect 300 game during Saturday's team event. To be eligible for this prize, a bowler must (1) be an adult life-benefit member of the William Penn Association as of April 1,2004, with at least one year's premium paid; and (2) be age 18 or older. On Saturday evening bowlers and guests will gather in casual attire for the bowling tournament awards dinner at the Hilton Cleveland South. The evening will feature a pre-dinner cash bar, a buffet dinner and door prizes. A special children's menu will be available for young dinner guests. The evening will conclude with a very special auction raffle. • Adult Tournament Entry Form • Awards Dinner Reservation Form Page 10 • Juvenile Fun Event Entry Form Page 11 ;..........................................................
