Branch News Young members enjoy the festivities at Branch 14’s Christmas party held in December. over Padua Franciscan this fall. Only 18 seconds into the game, Bri scored a goal en route to leading the Lady Warriors to a 4-1 victory. We're looking forward to hearing a lot more about this young soccer star over the next few years. Bri is the granddaughter of longtime branch member Ernest Moldvay. Adult members should mark their calendars for March 24 when the branch will be sponsoring a bus trip to Casino Windsor. The cost will be $25 per person and anyone interested should contact Violet Sarosi at 440- 248-9012. Space is limited, so contact Violet before the end of January to reserve your place. The next branch meeting will be held March 10 at the Bethlen Hall of the First Hungarian Reformed Church located at 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. All adult members are welcome to attend to plan the year's activities. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House Happy New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. We sure did. By the time you read this, if God is willing, Tommy, Gabby and I will be in Florida. I have two return trips to Michigan planned. If you need to get in touch with me at any time, I can be reached in Florida at 321-676-2194. You can also call my Michigan number at 313-383-4472.1 plan on retrieving my messges every other day or so. I will be home in Michigan on April 1,2004, for the rest of the year. Our June trip is sold out. Thank you for your interest. Our trips are always wonderful experiences. Fratemalism at its finest. Happy birthday to Julia Bubenko, Amy Polakowski, Marilyn Kadi, Helen Klaus, Helen Breznai, Michael Toth, Lou Deregi, Ernie Mayoros, John Toth, Walter Burinda, Emilia Blair, Mike Soter, Emma Toth, Lou Deregi (son), Derek Danko, Jason Cassar, Logan Tokarczyk, Joseph Tyler Gall, Bill Bero and Diane Torma (girlfriend). May you all celebrate many more. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer sending our branch birthday cards. Instead, we will donate $25 to the WPA scholarship foundation in honor of our wonderful members. We will continue to send $100 each month in memory of our deceased branch members. Novembers deceased members were Rose Mary Bires, Hazel Birkner and John Swerock. May they rest in peace. We also lost a true fratemalist and support of Branch 18. William Juluis Papp passed away on Nov. 19,2003. He and Helen were married for 54 years. Please remember them both in your prayers. The WPA Official Family also lost a loyal and loving member when former National Auditing Committee member Ernie Mozer passed away in November. He and his wife Mary were always at our many functions. Please let Mary know that you're thinking about her. Congratulations to Debbie Molnár. She's going back to school for her master's degree. Deb does many of our printing jobs at Branch 18. Congratulations to Jason and Dolly Cassar on the birth of their son Mario. Thanks to great-grandmother Rose P. Antal, he is already a WPA member. Grandmother Amy Polakowski made her latest grandchild a member. Welcome to Abigail. Thanks, Amy. Robert Sabo is also a new member. Thanks for thinking of the WPA. Thanks to my special friend Anna Sorke for thinking of me for her investments. Get well wishes to the Rev. John McKinsey, Richard Hollis, Mary Duzy (you are one lucky lady), Joanne Mayoros, Lou Deregi and Bela Imry. Remember all these members with a prayer. Branch 18 held its election of officers on Dec. 5. Your branch officers for 2004 are: Barbara A. House, president; Helen Molnár, vice president; Rose P. Antal, secretary; Carol A. Truesdell, treasurer; Ernie Mayoros, chairman of the auditing committee; and Douglas Truesdell and Tom House, auditors. Alternate auditor is Elsie Kantor. Congratulations to you all.
