60th Annual Bowling Tournament Bowling in the ’Burgh Pittsburgh to host 60th Annual WPA Bowling Tournament PITTSBURGH — Do you like having a good time with your friends and family? Do your children like having fun? Would you like a chance at winning $10,000, or a special mystery prize? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you and your family won't want to miss what the WPA has planned for this Memorial Day weekend. All members and friends of the WPA are invited to join us for our 60th Annual Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days to be held May 23 to 25 in Pittsburgh. The tournament weekend will begin Friday, May 23, with the annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. The meeting will take place at the Radisson Hotel Greentree. After the meeting, all bowlers and guests are welcome to a reception in the hotel, featuring plenty of food, refreshments and good old-fashioned fraternal fellowship. The adult bowling tournament will begin Saturday, May 24, with the team event and continues on Sunday, May 25, with the doubles and singles events. All bowling events will take place at Princess Lanes in Whitehall, Pa., the site of many previous WPA tournaments. Also on Saturday, the WPA will host its Seventh Annual Juvenile Fun Event, a bowling event designed specifically for the enjoyment of children age 15 and under. The emphasis will be on fun, and everyone will leave a winner. Free bus transportation between the hotel and bowling lanes will be available. Once again, the WPA is adding to the excitement of the adult tournament by offering a special $10,000 prize to the first eligible member who bowls a perfect 300 game during Saturday's team event. To be eligible for this prize, a bowler must (1) be an adult life-benefit member of the William Penn Association as of April 1,2003, with at least one year's premium paid; and (2) be age 18 or older. On Saturday evening bowlers and guests will gather in casual attire for the bowling tournament awards dinner at the Radisson Hotel. The evening will feature a pre-dinner cash bar, dinner and door prizes. A special children's menu will be available for young dinner guests. The evening will also feature a very special raffle. This time, the lucky winner will receive a wonderful "Mystery Prize." Sorry: no hints. You'll just have to be there to find out what it is. Packets containing information, • Adult Tournament Entry Form - Page 9 • Awards Dinner Reservation Form - Page 10 • Juvenile Fun Event Entry Form - Page 11 entry forms and hotel and awards dinner reservation forms will be mailed to all 2002 team captains.
