Branch 8 Johnstown, PA by Dorothy Kedves On Dec. 1, Branch 8 held its annual Christmas party at the United Church of Christ. Prior to the party, the annual election of officers was held. Elected were: Sándor J. Yuhas, president; Ernest W. Kedves, vice president; David S. Kozak, treasurer; Dorothy Kedves, secretary; and Mary Groshans and Elaine Engle, auditors. The party began with the arrival of Santa Claus, and the children were so excited. Santa listened to their requests and played games with the children. Christmas music was played by Ernest Kedves. A delicious lunch was served, and everyone enjoyed the gift bags, especially the slinkies and red bags. Again, we want to thank the Home Office for the special gifts and calendars that everyone looks forward to receiving. We wish all our members and families a happy new year. Even though it snowed the morning of the party, by the time the party began the roads were clear and 85 Branch News people came, eager to celebrate and enjoy the season. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus stopped by in their sleigh to greet the children, listen to their Christmas wishes and give each of them a gift bag (provided by the WPA). After the children's party, everyone sat down to a delightful feast of roast beef and all the trimmings. After dinner, everyone danced to music provided by Joe Jeromos. The branches and the American Hungarian Culture Club thank the WPA for its assistance in making this a wonderful holiday celebration. Branch 13 Trenton, NJ by Elsie H.
