For Starters I The Mail Bag | Grandparents provided examples for future generations to follow My cousin sent me a photocopy of an article [from] the January 2002 William Penn Life, the article by Endre Csornán about my grandfather, Janos Korosfoy. It's a wonderful piece. Thank you for bringing him and his work in our hometown of Alliance to attention, and honoring him in that way. He and his wife Sarah, my grandmother, were exemplars of what it meant to be a successful Hungarian immigrant. Not only were they a hard-working and talented husband and wife, they were such good, good people in so many ways. They passed on to us their love for art and poetry and music, their respect for books and learning and education, and their empathy and active caring for their fellow human beings. For us in the second, third, and fourth generations, our love for John and Sarah has not diminished, but rather bums more brightly than ever. Jo Korosy Gibson Cleveland, OH Thank you for your kind letter. We are sure your words will rekindle many happy, loving memories amongst are readers who were fortunate to have grandparents of similar clwracter to you rs.
