Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Happy and healthy new year! With the generous assistance of the Home Office, another successful Christmas party was held. Much to our delight our gathering keeps increasing each year. The afternoon opened with a welcome from Branch Secretary- Treasurer Kathy Novak. As the Aut Mori clowns entertained the group, the buffet table was opened to serve everyone. The clowns made shaped balloons for the young and the old. Maria Schauer and Evie Bryers lead us in the singing of Christmas carols which helped to direct Santa to our party. After Santa (John Tollas Sr.) circulated the room to visit the children, our branch photographer Frank Schauer took the group picture. Raffles were held offering a nice selection of gifts for the youth as well as for the adults. Santa and his elves, Nicole Tollas and Steve Novak, passed out the gift bags, money envelopes and candy to all the children. Many, many thanks to the Home Office and to all the members who helped with the party. The items left over from the party were donated to Tod's Children's Hospital. Following the party, we held our monthly branch meeting and election of officers. Officers for 2002 are: Steve Novak, president; Frank Schauer, vice president; Kathy Novak, secretarytreasurer; and Eugene Sakasits and Maria Schauer, auditors. Ms. Novak was also appointed branch reporter. WPA sales representative Alan Szabó installed the officers. We wish all of this month's birthday and anniversary celebrants a happy year to come. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all who recently lost a loved one. Our next branch meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 18, at the Boardman Eat 'n Park restaurant. For insurance information, call Alan Szabó at (330) 482-9994. For information about our branch, call me at (330) 746-7704. Happy Valentine's Day! Branch 34 Pittsburgh, PA by Andrew W.
