WPA announces dates and itinerary for 2002 tour of Vienna and Hungary Special program offers benefits to members' spouses PITTSBURGH — Now is your chance to take advantage of a special, limited-time offer from the WPA. This offer is designed for spouses of our current lifebenefit members. It's called the Guaranteed Spouse Insurance Program. Through this program, all life insurance members in good standing as of Jan. 1, 2001, can purchase new Oi additional insurance coverage on their spouse without evidence of insurability and no health questions asked. The spouse of any eligible member can choose from any permanent insurance or Single Premium Whole Life plan currently offered by the WPA. However, this offer does not apply to term insurance. The spouse of each member will be limited to one new insurance policy. For this special promotion, the following maximum face amounts of insurance will apply:- Up to Age 55 = $5,000- Ages 56 to 65 = $3,000- Ages 66 to 75 = $2,000- Ages 76 to 80 = $2,000. Please note that spouses ages 76 to 80 may apply for Single Premium Whole Life Insurance only. The Guaranteed Spouse Issue Program will be offered only from Jan. 1 through June 30, 2002. PITTSBURGH - The WPA and Travel Reservations Inc. of East Brunswick, N.J., have announced the dates and itinerary for the 2002 William Penn Association tour of Vienna and Hungary. This is the 15th annual tour sponsored by the Association. The tour will depart the United States on Sept. 19 and return from Budapest, Hungary, on Oct. 1. The tour begins with a two-night stay in Vienna. It will also include five nights in Budapest and five nights visiting the highlight^ of Hungary's countryside. Some of the stops included are Sopron, Herend, Lake Balaton, Hevis, Kalocsa, Kecskemet, Debrecen and Eger. Of all the places to be visited, among the most interesting will be the Great Central Plains at Hortobágy, the TjJade ScÁdwwy Br. 71 Duquesne, PA Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is not easy. It is a performance-based achievement whose standards have been well-maintained since 1911. Only about four percent of all Boy Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. That is why we are proud to shine this month's Spotlight on Wade W. Schaming, 17, of Jefferson Hills, Pa., who recently earned this honor. Wade has been active in scouting for 12 years. Among the many community service projects he has participated in over the year are Earth Day, the Jefferson Hills Library book sale, delivering fruit baskets to the elderly, community day fairs and church picnics. He began his scouting experience as a first-grader in Cub Scout Pack 970. He earned 20 Webelos activity pins, the Arrow of Light Award, World Conservation Award and the Catholic Parvuli Dei Religious Medal. University and Reformed Church of Debrecen and a wine cellar in Tokaj. The tour will also include an old favorite of previous tours—a dinner cruise on the Danube River. Tour participants who wish to visit the town or village of their ancestors can arrange to include such a stop on their itinerary. Departures are available from any U.S. airport. In Boy Scout Troop 60, he served as den chief, scribe, librarian, quartermaster, patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster. He has earned 51 merit badges and two Catholic religious medals and completed the Mile Swim. Wade is also a senior honor student at Thomas Jefferson High School where he has been a member of the History Club for four years and serves as captain of the swim team. Wade is a very active member in his church. He is a prayerful person who attends an ecumenical prayer breakfast one day each week with the Duquesnes Presbyterian Youth Group.
