Branch News family and friends. Birthday greetings for the month of November are sent out to Francis Bauer, Bernard Carroll, Ralph Judy, Richard Keenen, Harry Lambing, George Niederriter, Brian Seitz, Stephen Zacheri, Bernard Gatesman, Elsie Hanoid, Matthew Hurst, David Ragley, Ruby Summerville, James Distler and William Reinsel. Very special happy belated birthday wishes to Brad Huefner. Branch meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Immaculate Church, Main Street, Clarion. The Christmas party plans will be the main topic of our next meeting. Branch 8121 St. Marys, PA St. Mary's Church celebrated its 150th anniversary with a special Mass in September. Bishop Trautman of the Diocese of Erie, Pa., served as celebrant. Many of the Benedictine monks who had been stationed at St. Mary's over the years were present, as were many native sons who are serving as Benedictine monks. All organizations of the church, as well as the WPA, were represented at the Mass. We were saddened by the loss of longtime member and former Branch Auditor Amanda Kraus. Amanda was a charter member and officer of the former Ladies Branch 8126 and continued to serve as an officer when Branch 8126 merged with Branch 8121. She was a loyal member and good friend and will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with you, Amanda. Recent Donations We were also saddened by the recent death of fellow member Henry Foster. May he rest in peace. Branch Secretary Margaret Marconi was back in the hospital recently. We wish her a speedy recovery. During our October meeting, we worked on plans for our annual Christmas party. The party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1. All are invited. Branch 8321 Windber, PA by Edward T. Surkosky The members of Branch 8320 met for a regular business meeting on Sept. 29 at St. Anthony Church, Windber. Plans were made for the nomination and election of branch officers for 2003. It was also announced that a memorial Mass in honor of our deceased members will be held in November. It’s not just a donation, it’s an investment Today’s young people are tomorrow’s leaders.
