Our next "meeting" will be our annual branch picnic on Oct. 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Jaycee Park, North Pavilion. The election of officers and Christ­mas party will be held Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Broadway Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers. Eugene and Helen Toth of Port Charlotte, Fla., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 1. Congratulations and best wishes. The Hungarian Club in Naples, Fla., will be hosting a dinner and dance at the Forest Glen Country Club in Naples. The Santa Frank Gypsy Orchestra from Budapest will be playing for your pleasure. The vocalist will be Ibör Nagy. Admission will be $35 per person. The club will also host a Christmas party on Dec. 7. Call Frank Dobos at 239-348-7822 for reservations and more information. Frank and his officers are doing a great job keeping our Hungarian heritage alive. Frank is a WPA member, and we are very proud of him. Nori was awarded a WPA scholarship. Rebecca is a junior at Elizabethtown College majoring in business marketing. She is the daughter of Ronald A. and Susan P. Nori, both members of WPA Branch 800. Her grandmother, Margaret V. Nori, is a lifelong member of the Association, as was her grandfather, the late Albert J. Nori. Rebecca and her family are members of St. Mary Parish, Hollidaysburg, Pa. The beautiful autumn season is in full swing. The shades of fall are in the air. The foliage is blazing across our hills and valleys. Mother Nature is putting on an awesome show of colors. Enjoy the scenery. Branch 800 held its annual sum­mer picnic in early August at the quiet and peaceful Highland Park in Altoona. The good Lord provided us with perfect weather. A catered dinner was served. The kids were given treats, and all adults received door prizes. The clergy was represented by the Rev. John Neugebauer, the Rev. Kenneth Greiner and Deacon John Tier nan. I want to thank all those who worked on the committee to bring about an enjoyable evening. Daylight savings time ends on Sunday, Oct. 27. Turn your clocks back one hour before retiring on Saturday night. It's Halloween season again. That's the day which kids look forward to dressing up and celebrat­ing.
