It's a time in which we all have high expectations for peace in the world. It is our hope that all of you will have a prosperous 2001. Three families in need were helped during the Christmas season. The branch took part in the WPA's annual Holiday Basket program. Each basket was received with much appreciation. At the December branch meeting our members elected officers for the year 2001. Those elected were: Vincent Frank, president; Daniel Greiner, vice president; George Dorman, secretary; Robert Jones, treasurer; Robert Aiken, auditor; Melvin Frank, auditor; and David Greiner, auditor. Branch 800's Christmas party was well attended and enjoyed by all. The kids were happy with the visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and with the nice gifts they received from them. All adults were also treated with a gift. We thank the Home Office for the children's gifts. The WPA's beautiful and good quality 2001 calendars were appreciated by everyone. Mr. Dorman led us in the singing of carols from the carol books sent by the Home Office. Again, thank you for everything. Many thanks to all members who helped in any way to make it a successful holiday party. Do you have any special news about yourself or any member of your family? Let me know and we'll share it with your fellow members through our branch report in the William Penn Life. Give me a call at (814) 695-0213.
