Continued from Page 15 Join Hands Day—June 17,2000-is a brand new day of service to our communities. It was intiated by fraternal leaders throughout the country, and the WPA has joined in with these other fraternal societies. Adults and youth select, plan and conduct together a project that will benefit their community. Happy Father's Day on Sunday, June 18. We hope all fathers have an enjoyable day. We also hope all families are able to get together on this day. We ask members to mark their calendars for the branch's annual summer com boil and wiener roast to be held on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 6:00 p.m. at Highland Park in Altoona. Reservations can be made by calling me at (814) 695-0213. Deadline for reservations is July 26. We encourage adults to sign up with their children, grandchildren and friends. We wish all members and their families a nice summer. May your summer be filled with sunny skies, warm weather and good health. Branch 8114 Clarion, PA by Noreen Fritz Just a reminder that all our members in Clarion, Lucinda, Knox, Shippen­­ville, Strattenville, Marble, Leeper, Fryburg, Brookville and Sligo are invited to our monthly meetings at Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Clarion. The meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Why not come and visit with many of your friends and plan get-togethers for all the family to enjoy? Branch 8121 St. Marys, PA by Margaret Marconi We held a regular business meeting May 3 at St. Marys Parochial School annex. Branch President Mary Lou Schutz said the parish council requested reports from all organiza­tions in which parishioners were involved. She presented a report to the council which outlined our branch's activities, including our work for local charities, the church and residents of our area. We also are pleased to report that we have made a financial contribu­tion to the WPA's Operation Christ­mas Child 2000 campaign.
