Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward The officers and members of Branch 14 are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to be the local hosts for the WPA Annual Bowling Tournament Memorial Day weekend. At the branch meeting held April 12, our branch decided to buy prizes for the banquet Saturday evening. The branch will also provide delicious Hungarian pastries at the welcome reception Friday evening and kolbász sandwiches at the bowling lanes Saturday. The next branch meeting will be held Wednesday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills, Ohio. All Branch 14 members are welcome to attend and help make plans for the upcoming bowling tournament. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, Ml by Barbara A. House We are anxiously awaiting the Annual Bowling Tournament. I hope you plan on taking part in the many activities we have planned for you. Belated birthday wishes to Richard Miastowski. Wonderful to see Paul Petiot. You look great. Best wishes to the two of you. Please mark these upcoming events on your calendar. Our next three branch meetings will be held on May 12, June 16 and Aug. 4. (There is no meeting in July.) Our annual picnic will be Aug. 6. Invitations for the picnic will be mailed soon. Holy Cross Church will be hosting their annual picnic at the Yack in Wyandotte on June 3 and 4. The Hungarian American Cultural Center will host a Gypsy picnic on July 16. Our branch is going to Niagara Falls June 19 to 21. We are also planning a Traverse City trip in October. C Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Happy Spring! Hope everyone had a beautiful Easter season. Well, the bus is ready, the rooms are reserved and everyone planning to attend the Hungarian festival in New Jersey June 3 is getting more and more excited. In lieu of our annual branch picnic, the officers decided to offer a two-day package trip to the festival. After resting up Saturday night after the festival, our group will spend Sunday in Atlantic City before returning home. We're looking forward to seeing our fellow WPA members and friends at the bowling tournament in Cleveland. We hope your day is full of sunshine and laughter. With the approach of the bowling tournament in Cleveland, we are looking forward to visiting with our old and dear friends and meeting new acquaintances.
