Annette has been working with the borough in the finance office and the library for the past five years as an accountant and bookkeeper. Annette is the daughter of WPA Chairman Michael J. and Ann Hrabar. f Branch 18 Lincoln Park, Ml J Welcome back from Florida Bob and Debbie Jackson and their two gorgeous children, Samantha and Tyler. I know you had a wonderful time. Welcome back also to Rudy and Dorothy Nagy. Get well wishes to Rudy Korpák who is recovering from surgery. We are taking a meeting break this summer. We will resume meeting on Aug. 13. Remember, we meet at the Hungarian American Cultural Center at 7:00 p.m. We are planning a WPA Mass at Holy Cross Hungarian Catholic Church on Aug. 14 at 4:00 p.m. We will have our picture taken at the cross for which our branch and the Home Office donated funds to have renovated. Please try to attend. We are also planning a trip to Atlantic City on Monday, Nov. 1. We will return on Tuesday evening. Cost for members is $50. It's always so nice to meet up with friends at such a nice social event. Branch 28 will be holding its annual summer picnic on Sunday, June 27 at Roosevelt Park in Campbell, Ohio, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The branch will provide the main menu, but we are asking members to provide casseroles or desserts for the buffet. New members are invited but asked to donate $5 to the branch. For reservations call Emma Kish at (330) 782-7765. Deadline is June 23. Other picnics to look forward to include the St. Stephen of Hungary Church picnic Sunday, July 25, at the club grounds, 2219 Donald Ave. The Zolka Brothers will provide the entertainment from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Grounds will open at 1:00 p.m. Hungarian food will be sold. The Youngstown American Hungarian Federation will host its annual Hungarian Day Sunday, Aug. 8, at the club. Joe Jeromes and his band will be playing, and Hungarian food will be sold. Happy 50th anniversary to Frank and Maria Goda. And, happy birthday to Branch 28 Vice President Frank Schauer. Congratulations to all the 1999 graduates. A whole new world is opening up for them.
