Memóriám Please pray for the eternal rest of our departed members. JOSEPH E. MASIC ALTOONA, PA -- The mem­bers of Branch 800 Altoona were saddened by the recent death of former Branch President Joseph E. Masic. Mr. Masic, 83, died on March 2,1999, at Altoona Hopsital following a brief illness. A WPA member for more than 52 years, Mr. Masic was very active in the business, fraternal and social affairs of his branch before, during and after his time as a branch officer. He also served as a volunteer at Altoona Hospital and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was born Feb. 25,1916, in Duncansville, Pa., the son of the late Walter and Mary (Helman) Masic. A U.S. Army veteran, he was an employee of Conrail for 35 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, the Holy Name Soci­ety, Knights of Columbus and many other organizations. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Emma; three daughters, Dorothy Allen of Rowland Heights, Calif., Mary Färber of Altoona and June Ann Harpster of King of Prussia, Pa.; four sohs, Joseph E. Jr. of Ontario, Calif., Fred­erick of Covina, Calif,, David of Creamery, Pa., and Paul of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held March 5 at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity' of your choice or your church. May he rest in peace.
