In a matter of days, we will begin the new millennium and the great jubilee of the year 2000. It is hoped that the new year will usher in a new age of hope. Just think: a new century is just on the horizon. So, let us welcome the year 2000 with high expectations for mankind. Branch 8114 Clarion, PA by Robert Walter Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and your families from the officers and members of Branch 8114. May peace, love and laughter fill your holiday season. During this festive season, our branch's annual Christmas party will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception School cafeteria, Main Street, Clarion. Congratulations to Bob Donahue and his family on the birth of his new grandchild. Please remember to keep Paul Hargenrader in your prayers. Ethel and I were recently admitted to the hospital and are happy to say we are both at home recuperating. Thank you for your prayers and cards. Fraternal branch meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Branch 8121 St. Marys, PA by Margaret Marconi We had a very busy meeting Nov. 3 at St. Marys annex. Instead of holiday baskets, we decided to donate money to the local food bank for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We thank the WPA for its financial support of our Christmas party. How kind and thoughtful. We also thank the Home Office for the wonderful calendars. We want you to know we do appreciate all the work you do. Our Christmas party was scheduled to be held Dec. 5. A full report will appear in our next issue. We also held election of officers for our branch. All current officers were reelected and sworn into another one-year term of office.
