Mr. Toth, 77, passed away Aug. 30, 1994, in Horn Memorial Hospital, Ida Grove, Iowa. Mr. Toth served his branch as a dedicated officer for many years and as a delegate to five National Conventions. He actively participated in branch activities and was a fixture at the national bowling and golf tournaments. He was born March 28, 1917, in McKeesport, Pa., the son of the late John andJuliaToth. He wasa retired service representative for Rockwell International and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Hungarian Reformed Church, where he served as secretary on the church’s council for 10 years. Services were held Sept. 3, 1994, at the church, with burial in Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Fiatrock, Mich. We extend our sympathy to his wife Emma and his family and ask that God may grant "Andy” his eternal rest. VINCENT M. LEONARD PITTSBURGH — The Most Rev. Vincent M. Leonard, retired bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh and supreme spiritual advisor to the former Catholic Knights of St. George, died Aug. 28, 1994, in the Little Sisters of the Poor Home, Pittsburgh. Happy Halloween on Oct. 31 to all members and their families, especially the children and grandchildren who will be trick-ortreating. Branch 8164 Steubenville, OH Branch 8164 resumed its schedule of monthly meetings Sept. 11 with a Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church by the Rev. Edmund Sylvia of the Franciscan University. After Mass we gathered for breakfast in the rectory hall. We welcomed back National Director Louis Fodor who had been absent for many months due to a serious operation. A special cake decorated with the words "Welcome Back Mr. Fodor” was shared by all. A social hour followed with breakfast served by Julia D’Aurora. In the absence of Branch President Vincent Lopresto, Vice President Angela D’Aurora presided at the meeting. Get well wishes were sent to Isabel Vatrella. Our next meeting will be held Oct. 9. Bishop Leonard was the ninth bishop of Pittsburgh, serving from July 1969 to December 1983. "He will always be remembered as a gentle, humble leader whose very pastoral style brought stability to this local church,” said the Most. Rev. Donald W. Wuerl, the current bishop of Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 11, 1908, one of nine children of Francis and Catherine Leonard. After his ordination in 1935, he served for 24 years in various posts as a chaplain, pastor and administrator. In 1969, Pope Paul VI named him bishop of Pittsburgh. As bishop, he was best known for his commitment to the poor and disadvantaged, his loyalty to the pope, his concern for the welfare of priests, his work to improve and expand care facilities for the aged, and his desire to seek the middle ground in most things. In an editorial two days after his death, the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette wrote: "Whether he would be the right man to deal with today’s fiscal and ideological problems can only be conjectured. But he was very much the sort of man his own times demanded.” May he rest in peace. We ask our fellow members to pray for the eternal rest of Mr. Fabian, Mr. Toth, Bishop Leonard and all our recently departed members listed below: AUGUST 1994 0001 BRIDGEPORT, CT Margaret Homa 0005 PHOENIX, AZ Olga Smith 0008 JOHNSTOWN, PA Henry A.
