Page 4, William Penn Life, January 1994 Branch News Children and their parents await a visit from Santa Claus at Christmas party sponsored jointly by Branches 71 and 89. The children of Branch 132 South Bend, Ind., gather with Santa Claus during the branch’s Christmas party held last month. Santa Claus made another appearance at the Branch 150 Masontown Christmas party, to the delight of the children in attendance. Continued from Page 3 party was held at the American- Hungarian Citizens Club in Garfield, N.J. Those elected to serve our branch were: Arthur Barillo, president; Frank Zimmerman, vice president; Richard A. Mozer, treasurer; Ernest J. Mozer Sr., secretary; and Andrew Nemeth and Joseph Baumgartner, auditors. President Barillo welcomed the guests at the Christmas party and introduced the reelected officers. A great round of applause was given them by the large crowd. President Barillo thanked the members for their faithful assistance during the past year and for making a rough task a lot easier. Entertainment was supplied by Bob the Magician who held the children and their parents spellbound with his unbelievable magic tricks. The loud shouts of the children filled the room during the entire show. Afterwards all joined in singing Christmas carols from the carol books provided by the Home Office. Under the leadership of Katie Mozer, our guests sang many songs, truly bringing out the Christmas spirit in all. With the singing of "Jingle Bells” Santa Claus (Frank Zimmerman) made his grand entrance. The younger children stared in wonder as he let out a hearty "Ho! Ho! Ho!” All eagerly responded yes when Santa asked if they had been good little girls and boys during the past year. As each child sat on Santa’s lap they were asked what they would like to have Santa bring them on Christmas day. Their requests seemed endless. Santa, with the help of President Barillo, gave each child a gift. All children also received coloring books, crayons and pencils. Each adult received a lovely William Penn calendar. After Santa left, all were invited to stay for refreshments and to continue enjoying themselves with their family, friends and fellow members. We would like to thank the Home Office for all its assistance in making this party the success it is every year.
