March 1994, William Penn Life, Page 3 WPA tours to Hungary, Austria offer exciting vacation alternative NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Adventurous William Penn members are making plans to take the most exciting and mem­orable vacation of their lives— and you can join them. This year the Association will once again offer its members and friends the opportunity to ex­plore Hungary. The first of two Association-sponsored tours will run from June 16 to 30, and a second tour will be offered from Sept. 13 to 27. Both tours offer identical itineraries, so partici­pants will share the same experi­ences and enjoy the same breath­taking site no matter which of the two tours they take. Both tours will begin with a two-night stay in Vienna, Austria, offering ample time to see the highlights of this beautiful city on the Danube. Features of our stay in Vienna will include visits to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofsburg and Grinzig Village for dinner and music. During the 12 days in Hungary, our tours will visit Budapest, Sopron, Győr, Sárvár, Kecske­met, Szolnok, Eger, Miskolc, Debrecen and Lake Balaton. Each tour will include visits to the Esterhazy Castle, Herend Por­celain Museum, Tokaj wine re­gion, Hortobágy, National Muse­um, Millenium Monument in Heroes Square and Cathedral in Esztergom. The cost of this year’s tour will be $2,949 per person, based on double occupancy. Those travel­ing with our group may arrange for single accommodations for an additional $500. The tour price includes airfare, travel on deluxe air-conditioned motorcoaches, all sightseeing on the tour itinerary, all luggage handling charges, 35 meals and all tips and taxes. Travelers will be responsible for the cost of their own passport, items of a personal nature and activities not included on the itinerary. The tour price is based on departure from New York City. His dedication to "all things Hungarian” has not gone un­recognized. The American Hungarian Foundation (AHF), based in New Brunswick, N.J., has named Presi­dent Vargo a recipient of its 1994 Distinguised Service Award. The award recognizes President Vargo for his distinguished pro­fessional accomplishments, his far reaching community and humanitarian efforts, and his other than New York can arrange flights from the airport nearest their home for an add-on rate.
