Buffone. Mr. Buffone, 77, died March 16, 1993, in Ohio Valley Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 7, 1915, in Steubenville, a son of the late Anthony and Michelena Zorne Buffone. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Carl; a sister, Mary; a grand­son and a granddaughter. He retired in 1974 from the Jefferson County auditor’s office where he was a weights and meas­ures inspector. Prior to that he was a sales representative with Erie Brewing Co. Mr. Buffone was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and its Men’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Vario Buffone, whom he married July 5,1938; four daugh­ters, Mary Valiéra and Anna Wal­­kosky, both of Steubenville, Jo Ann Moore of Lake Forest, 111., and Lucille Buffone of Imperial, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was celebrated March 20 at St. Anthony’s Church with the Rev. Msgr. Gene Mullett as celebrant. Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery. May he rest in peace. PAUL R. CARAPELLOTTI STEUBENVILLE, OH — The members of Branch 8164 were also saddened by the recent death of longtime member Paul R. Cara­­pellotti, 74, who died April 14, 1993, in St.John Medical Center. He was born March 9,1919, in Steubenville, a son of the late Paul Carapellotti and Nicolette Cara­­pellotti DeSantis. He was a member of Holy Name Cathedral and many organizations. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1941-46. He is survived by his wife, Dahlia R. Santarelli Carapellotti, whom he married Dec. 27, 1952; three sons, Paul of Atlanta, Mich­ael of Steubenville and Albert of Wintersville, Ohio; a daughter, Mary Anne Dimitry of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Anthony (Babe) DeSantis of Steubenville; two sis­ters, Christine Shultz and Julia Simone, both of Steubenville; and four grandchildren. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Name Cathedral. Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery. May he rest in peace. JOSEPH PARKER WHEELING, WV — To all who visited the former William Penn Home in Wellsburg, W.Va., or attended the carnivals held there, Joe and Ivy Parker were familiar sights. The couple, both blind, were residents there. After the Home closed, they moved to the Good Shepherd Home in Wheeling, where Joe, 91, died Jan. 2, 1993. Both Joe and Ivy, members of Branch 349 Weirton, W.Va., were teachers at the area school for the blind and were members of the Pittsburgh Guild for the Blind. Ivy and friends from the Pitts­burgh Guild for the Blind attend­ed a Mass in Joe’s honor at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Pittsburgh March 27. Also in attendance were Branch 8020 members Bill, Verna and Chuck Arbanas. May God bless Joe’s soul and watch over his wife Ivy.
