Ethnic Group sponsors annual Hungarian Day PITTSBURGH — The Hungar­ian Ethnic Group of Western Pennsylvania sponsored the an­nual Hungarian Day at Kenny­­wood Park on July 29. The event featured Hungarian food, music and arts and crafts and a performance by the Hungar­ian Ethnic Group’s dancers. The event also featured the crowning of the new Miss Magyar of the Tri-State Area, Brenda Deasy of Greenfield, Pa. Selected as members of her court were first attendant Kathi Gullace of Pittsburgh and second attendant Mary Romagnoli of Wheeling, W.Va. Miss Deasy and her attendants will make appearances at various Hungarian affairs throughout the coming year. Box 438 New Brunswick, NJ 08903 In Memóriám JAMES E. MOZGA, JR. LEECHBURG, PA — The mem­bers of Branch 296 Springdale, Pa, and the Home Office staff were saddened by the recent death of James E. Mozga Jr., former treasurer of Branch 296 and father of Home Office employee Char­lotte Mozga. Mr. Mozga, 77, died on Aug. 9, 1992, in Sátoraljaújhely, Hun­gary. He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Leechburg, the son of the late James Emery Sr. and Rosa (Iski) Mozga. He was employed in the cold mill department at the West Leechburg Works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. for 44 years, retiring in 1977. Mr. Mozga was a 50-year mem­ber of the William Penn and served with dedication as Branch 296 treasurer for many years. He was also a member of the United Church of Christ in Springdale, Retirees of the United Steel Workers of America in Leech­burg, Sokol Lodge, V.F.W. and D.A.V. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theatre. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret (Pastor) Mozga; a broth­er, Carl of Gilpin Twp.; and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Rose) Set­­lock of Leechburg, and Mrs. Clair (Mary) Held of Gilpin Twp. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Kromka and Grace Korodi. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa. The family requests memorials in his memory be made to the United Church of Christ in Springdale. May he rest in peace.
