The service included a moving rendition of "Amazing Grace” played by a lone bagpiper from the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh. The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note as the audience joined the Millstone Valley Sweet Adeline Chorus in singing "God Bless America.” Afterwards, many of the guests remained at the Hungarian Heritage Center for a reception. The plaque is one of two items which make up the commemorative tribute. The other is a book which will contain the names and addresses of all U.S. military personnel of Hungarian descent. Additional information on these men and women will be kept in a computer file. The plaque, book and computer file will all be located at the heritage center. The collection of information on Hungarian American military personnel will be an ongoing effort.
