The center will house a museum, library and visitors center. NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The American Hungarian Foundation recently announced'construction has been completed on the Hun­garian Heritage Center in New Brunswick. The new center will house a museum, library, archives, visi­tor’s center, gift and craft shops, conference rooms and research facilities. The center, located at 300 Somerset Street, wiil be dedicated and formally opened on Sunday, May 31. The ceremonies will include a gala dedication dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Phase One of the center’s capi­tal and endowment fund drive successfully reached its goal of $1.7 million in pledges and gifts. Phase Two of the campaign will seek to raise an additional $1.2 million, for a total goal of $2.9 million. The William Penn Association contributed $60,000 towards the center’s fund. According to the reports that we receive from my parents, Niki is doing very well. She is, of course, living at home with her parents and two brothers. Plans for teens’ trip to Hungary in ’89 cancelled PITTSBURGH — Plans for a William Penn-sponsored trip to Hungary this summer for the Association’s teenage members have been cancelled, the Home Office recently announced. "At the December meeting of the Association’s Board of Direc­tors, it was the consensus of the Board that the Association should not sponsor such a trip at this time,” said National President Stephen G. Danko. Last summer, the Association sponsored a trip to Hungary for 20 members age 8 to 14. garians in all walks ot life since 1776. LOUIS A. FODOR Fodor elected to W.Va. Fraternal Congress board WEIRTON, WV - Louis A. Fodor, chairman of the Associa­tion’s National Auditing Com­mittee, has been elected to the board of directors of the West Virginia Fraternal Congress. Mr. Fodor was elected during the WVFC’s annual meeting held Oct. 13 to 15,1988 at the Rama­­da Inn Convention Center in Beckley, W.Va. He will serve a one-year term on the board. This is the first WVFC office Mr. Fodor has held. The next annual meeting of the West Virginia Fraternal Congress will be held Oct. 12 to 14, 1989 at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.
