"That is the advantage in this investment,” he said. "Purchasing LINCOLN PLACE, PA — The opening of the William Penn Association Federal Credit Union was celebrated April 24 with a special dinner held at the B.P.O. Elks Hall here. Among those in attendance were members of the former Hungarian Reformed Church Federal Credit Union of Homestead, Pa., who were officially welcomed into our William Penn family. "We are proud and happy to have you as a part of the William Penn Association,” National Secretary E. E. Vargo told the new members. "We extend to you our own in-house computer system would not have given us any financial return.” For several years, the Association considered purchasing an in-house computer system as a way of consolidating and economizing its computer operations. When the costs of purchasing and installing an in-house system proved to be prohibitive, the Association explored alternative solutions. One of those alternatives was purchasing the Pittsburgh Data Center. The Association initially approached Computer Sciences See ’Computer’ Page 12 every good wish to be with us.” Secretary Vargo also commended the former Reformed Church credit union for surviving as a viable institution for 50 years.
