Nearly 100 William Penn members and friends from 15 states have already requested brochures detailing the trip, which is being sponsored by the Association. The tour is scheduled to leave the U.S. June 24 and return from Budapest July 7. The trip will include land tours of Budapest, the Transdanubia area and northern Hungary. Tour organizers say there is additional information, not included in the brochure, which may be useful to those who are considering joining the tour group. First, those traveling to Hungary with the group are not required to participate in any or all of the land tours. Once in Hungary, you are free to stay with the group or travel as you wish. Secondly, the only departure points outside of New York are Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh. Those travelers living in other areas should either arrange their own transportation to one of these four departure cities or have the tour’s travel agent arrange such transportation for you. Thirdly, passport and visa information can be obtained by calling the nearest federal Passport Division office or your local post office. Passport applicants are required to have two (2) recent black-and-white photographs, their birth certificate and any necessary citizenship papers with them when applying for their passport. Fourthly, travelers are permitted to take any doctor-prescribed medication overseas. However, you should check any medication with the Passport Division to ensure it is permissible. Fifthly, full payment for air fare and any land tours must be made to the Association by May 25. However, reservations should be made as soon as possible. Sixthly, this is the only tour to Hungary the Association is sponsoring this year. Finally, Ohio residents wishing to join the tour can call National Director Albert G. Kertesz for help in arranging transportation to one of the departure cities and for assistance in acquiring visa, ---------See "Hungary” Page 5.
