I William Penn <gig> Association Plans^ 100th Anniversary Trip to Hungary The Board of Directors has approved the 100th Anniversary Trip to Budapest, Hungary, leaving New York or Boston on Thursday, June 19,1986, and returning July 3, 1986. Stays shorter or longer are available. All travel arrangements, reservations, monies, passport applications, visas, etc., would be handled strictly by the agencies. Each of the four agencies will coordinate the tour arrangements and reservations for persons in their general location. Any inquiries received at the Home Office concerning the tour would be forwarded to the appropriate travel agent. President Sabo selected Mr. Ron Lombardo of Mercur- Lombardo Travel as the chief coordinator of the tour arrangements as his agency is located closest to the Home Office. Taking into consideration the Association’s bowling and golf tournaments, the school calendar, the weather and seasonal travel rates, the tentative dates of the two-week tour will be Thursday, June 19, 1986 to Thursday, July 3, 1986. Apex Air Fare (lowest schedule flight) will be approximately $799 to $899 per person round trip. Since flight rates are usually lower on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, departure day was picked as Thursday. The agencies will also investigate Pan Am, Swissair and Lufthansa. This may affect the tour dates. The hotels chosen will be modern, air-conditioned and located on the Pest Side. Four and six day tours in Hungary will be available. There will be possible tour options of a) air fare only — two week period, b) air fare only — open return and c) air fare, hotel plus choice of tours. Since the tour is not a fundraiser, any price advantage available could be passed on to members as an inducement to take the William Penn Association sponsored tour.
