Branch 132, South Bend, Indiana The SECOND ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DINNER­­DANCE held by the WILLIAM PENN SOCIAL CLUB on Saturday, December 1, 1984 was a memorable occasion, and enjoyed by a house packed with participants. The cocktail hour was held be­tween 6:00 and 7:00 PM with assorted Hors D’oeuvres; The Dinner was served between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. The delicious dinner consisted of Hungarian Style Breaded Chicken with Tarhonya, Homemade Fresh sausage and Hurka; Salad, Coffee & Rolls with Hungarian Pastry. After the dinner dancing followed with the music furnished by the Seasons Orchestra until the early hours of the morning. Needless to say a good time was had by everyone. Molnár, Joseph Pal and Frank Farkas, Sr. 16 Branch 132, South Bend, Indiana The Annual Children’s Christmas Party was held on Saturday afternoon on December 15, 1984 in the William Penn Hall at 2:00 P.M. An enthusiastic group of children, with their parents and grandparents gathered at the William Penn Hall and enjoyed a delightful afternoon. The Christmas program was opened by National Diec­­tor Frank J. Wukovits, Jr. welcoming the children and their parents, with greetings on behalf of the Home Office, the National Directors and Officers, together with Branch 132 Officers and Directors. The program began with the singing of Christmas Carols by everyone present. The children and their families were entertained by professional Magician Alex­ander the Great and his granddaughter. The program was most appreciated by everyone present. Following the entertainment additional Christmas Carols were sung again until the ar­rival of the Santa Claus in the person of Steve Pécsi. The Santa presented the children with Christmas Stockings filled with candy, and the children were given the opportunity to pick a toy of their choice from the many toys available. After distribution of the gifts, the children were served pop, ice-cream, potato-chips and other goodies, by Santas Helpers. The Santas helpers were Mrs. Ruth Baumgartner, Virginia Wolford, Mrs. Theresa Myers, Mrs. Mary Ann Wukovits, Mrs. Helen V. Sabo, Miss Kathleen Wukovits, Leslie Baumgartner and Joseph Flowers. A delicious meal was being prepared in the kitchen for the evening get-together for the workers who during the course of the year worked to promote fraternal activities at the William Penn Home. By Ruth Vasvary Branch 19 NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Joseph Arvay Wa„ elected and installed president of Branch 19 during the annual election in December. Of­ficers were installed by Michael Hegedűs, a member of the advisory board. Named to serve with Presi­dent Arvay were Ruth Vasvary, vice-president; Bar­bara Hegedűs, secretary; Irene Evans, treasurer; and Alex Horvath, Anthony Vass and Elizabeth Gyorgydeak, auditors. The annual family Christmas party was held at the Bayard Street Presby­terian Church Hall. Secretary Barbara Hegedűs was the of­ficial greeter as guests arrived. Entertainment was presented by Jonji the Clown Magician who annually is a favorite with the children and adults. Rev. Joseph Bodnar, of the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church led singing of carols with accompaniment by Chacho the accordionist. Santa arrived to present the children with gifts and candy and was assisted by Ruth Vasvary, Barbara Hegedűs and Alex Horvath. A holiday buffet was also served. Meetings of the Branch are held the first Monday of each month at the Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. The Branch is grateful to the Association Board of Directors for their support of the annual party.
