I MT. ST. GEORGE HALLOWEEN PARTY The Halloween Party for our residents at Mt. St. George was held on October 30. The grand ballroom of the mansion was festively decorated with orange and black streamers as well as an assortment of scary characters, including, ghosts, witches and a scarecrow. Many of the staff came dressed in costumes which thoroughly delighted the residents. Some of the residents designed their own costumes and disguises. The festivities began at 7:00 PM. with a songfest led by the “Rambling Roses”, a group of Brooke County Senior Citizens who regularly entertain our residents. They came dressed in a variety of unique and unusual costumes. They entertained the residents with a number of oldtime favorites and concluded with a sing-a-long encouraging our people to join in with them. Nick Kotik, Home Administrator, thanked the “Rambling Roses” for their efforts and invited all of them to stay and socialize with all in attendance. The residents were served Halloween cupcakes, ice cream and soda pop. Individual bags of candy were passed out to all residents. Special thanks goes to Mr. Kotik, Betty Anderson, Joyce Traubert, Josephine Francis, Bob Wilt, Sandy Wilt, the Sisters and Father Fred for helping to make the party an enjoyable night out for the residents of Mt. St. George. BRANCH 150 — UNIONTOWN, PA — A Halloween party was sponsored by Branch 150 at Masontown, Pa. and was held at the PAL’s Community Hall in Bessemer.
