Being on the subject of bowling . . . if you are interested in joining a bowling league, please call Betty Holguin at 291-2882 or call the Social Club and tell them you are interested in joining the Wm. Penn Bowling League. As we mentioned in our last issue, the Social Club was sponsoring a “Buy One and Get One Free Dinner” on May 1st. Well... let me tell you, it was a complete sell out. The food of chicken paprikas and stuffed cabbage was indeed delicious. People that attended this dinner, did not really want to leave, but the people kept coming in and we had to make room for them too. Sorry to say that many missed out, but when they found out, they want to be sure to attend the next one. Please watch for your Newsletter, as to the date of the next dinner. “Mother’s Day” was also a beautiful day for all that attended the dinner at the Wm. Penn Social Club. Mothers were “pampered” and most of all . . . loved by her family. The Club presented each mother with a carnation.
