Branch 20 sent a greeting card to the Floly Father, Pope John Paul II. In reply, they received a beautiful letter thanking Branch 20 members and officers for thinking of him. Since Branch 20 is deeply involved with respect for life concerning the unborn, mentally retarded and the old folks, Branch 20 officers asked the members of Council in the McKees Rocks Borough to single out the month of March as the month of the Mentally Retarded. The Mayor came to the Branch 20 meeting and signed the proclamation as seen in the picture. Bill Arbanas President of Branch 20 Branch 1 64 Steubenville, Ohio Branch 164 of Steubenville, Ohio wishes to introduce itself to the William Penn Association by way of the “William Penn Life” magazine which we appreciate receiving and would like some of our news in it from time to time. We have a very energetic group, small, but always willing to help in the projects for the Mt. St. George Home in Wellsburg, West Virginia. We’ve always taken part in the Annual Carnival for the good of the Home. Our Branch meets regularly on the second Sunday of the month with 8:30 A.M. Mass at St. Anthony’s Church followed by donuts and coffee in the school cafeteria. The Officers include President Albert Antinone who is serving his third term; Angela D’Aurora, Former Recorder for three terms, now serving as Vice President; Albert DiFalco as Treasurer; Fannie Cipolla is the new Recorder and Nick Antonelli, an old timer of the Knights of St. George, serves as Sergeant-At-Arms. The Trustees include Sebastian Grossi, Pete Buffone and Kathryn Renda. It was a pleasure recently to have National Auditor Louis A. Fodor from Weirton as a guest. He was indeed a knowledgeable person and cleared up many questions that the Society had. We look forward to having him visit again soon. We hope our association with the William Penn will be a happy and congenial one. Branch 57 A meeting was held at St. Joseph’s Activity Center on March 14, 1984. A speaker from Bell Telephone came and explained to our members and a few interested people from St. Joseph’s Church, about telephone bills and equipment rental. It was a very interesting session and enjoyed by all who attended.
