Branch 150 Christmas Party. cookbooks will be donated to the William Penn Association Scholarship Foundation. The total donation by mail is now $4.00 for each cookbook. The increase in price is due to the postage rate increase. During the 1982 year the Branch meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the William Penn ITome, 1024 West Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. The William Penn Association, Branch 150 of Masontown, Pa., held its annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 20, 1981 at 2:00 P.M. in the Pals Club Social Hall in Masontown. The party was attended by 59 children and 85 parents. Before the arrival of Santa Claus, the children were treated to refreshments, hot dogs, soda, cookies, chips and pretzels. Santa arrived and greeted each child before giving them a Christmas treat which consisted of candy canes, cracker jacks, candy bars, 12 assortments of candy, an apple and an orange. Pictured are several of the children, Branch Manager, Lou Jesso and Officers of the Pals Club. Newly elected Officers of the William Penn Club, Branch 132, for 1982 are from left, Frank J. Farkas. Sr., 1st Vice President; Leslie Baumgartner, Controller; Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., President; Virginia Harper, Recording Secretary; and Joseph Bertolan, Treasurer. The Officers were elected early in the month of December and will service the Branch throughout the year. The following were elected as Officers of Branch 132 at a meeting held on Tuesday, December 8, 1981. Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., President; Frank Farkas, Sr., 1st Vice President; Joseph Horvath, 2nd Vice President; Mrs. Virginia Harper, Recording Secretary; to Chad Minnick and 3rd Prize to Billie Jo Amor. Next the children and their parents were served pop, ice cream, potato chips by Santa’s helpers, namely Mrs. Isabelle Hupka, Mary Ann Wukovits, and Mrs. Helen Sabo. The Christmas party closed with a Christmas carol or two. Meanwhile in the kitchen Mrs. Mary Suppinger and Mrs. Mary Vas were preparing a delicious chicken supper to be held this evening for the benefit of all those members who worked so faithfully during the year of 1981.
