1980-10-01 / 4. szám
Branch 590 Cape Coral, Florida Our regular meeting came to order September 14, 1980 at 4:00 p.m. Secretary, Rose Darab read the minutes of our last meeting. Treasurer’s report by Betty Bartus was read and approved. On Sunday, June 29th members of this club had a very enjoyable picnic at the waterfront home of our treasurer, Betty Bartus and husband Steve. It was a perfect, made-to-order sunny day for a picnic. All those who came enjoyed it immensely. Plans were made at this meeting for our William Penn Christmas party. The date will be December 17 at the Captains Table Restaurant in Cape Coral, FI. Ail members of good standing and who regularly attended our meetings are invited. Just a brief note to tell my friends, that the trip I made to Hungary this summer was delightful and superb. Hungary is beautiful and Budapest is still the Crown Jewel of Europe! Sad news to announce, that a member of William Penn, Emma Kuppel passed away on August 19th, 1980. She was the sister-in-law of our president, Frank Sabo and beloved sister of his wife, Margaret, a dear friend to many of us who live in southwest Florida, where she was a winter visitor for many years. May God grant her peace! Reminder: For serving your insurance needs, contact Anthony Noel, district manager—P.O. Box 173, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. Cordial greetings from Branch 590, Cape Coral, Florida. Respectfully submitted, Irene Esau, Reporter Yours truly (reporter and my sister-in-law from Hamburg, Germany). Halaszbastya (Fishermans bastion) can be seen in the background in Budapest.
