Our Branch Bowlers are ready to match their talents with the other William Penn bowlers who will meet in Dayton. Several of our members are planning to attend the style show to be shown on Saturday, May 24 at the headquarters hotel. Plans are coming along nicely for our annual picnic to be held Sunday, July 27, 1980 at the Assumption Church Picnic Grounds, Leechburg, Pennsylvania. We look forward to this third annual affair to be better than the previous ones, we hope that we can increase the amount of our contribution towards the purchase of a cabin at Penn’s Scenic View. Any of our members who are interested in helping out at the picnic should attend the meetings and offer your help. Meetings are held the third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the William Penn Room of the United Church of Christ Social Hall, 130 Walter Lane, Springdale, Pa. Attendance at our meetings have been good, we plan to have our first bacon fry at the May meeting when we should have a good turnout. Plans are being made for arranging an evening at which time the 50 year members of the Branch can be presented with a 50 year membership pin. We are pleased to learn that the National Board of Directors will assist Branches financially which hold such special events to honor our members. See you at the next meeting. Branch 590 Cape Coral, Fla. Our regular meeting came to order at 3 p.m., March 9th, 1980. President Frank Sabo and all members present at this meeting gave thanks for having our beloved vice president, Gabor Chikos, to be able to attend this meeting. He was recently discharged from the hospital. April 27 — June 29 — September 7 — November 2nd at 4:00 p.m. President Frank Sabo made a motion that members of Branch 590 must attend 3 meetings a year to be eligible to our annual Christmas dinner party each year.
